Stratford U15s stunned Standard Coventry with another convincing win at Swan’s Nest Lane last Sunday, in a fine team display involving every Stratford player along the way.

Stratford set Standard 150 to win thanks to another fine knock from Harry Dube, strongly supported by Middleton, Element, Sunderland and Dingley.

Standard openers Hawker and Johns got off to a quick start, but soon the wickets started to fall, Sunderland splaying the stumps with two successive balls, May taking a spectacular head over heels catch off Billy Dingley’s bowling, and subsequent wickets falling to debutant Jake Greaves, Tom Hatch, Marcus Farthing and Seb May. Stratford’s fielding was of a very high order with Middleton, Beesley, Hatch and Rickett all taking good catches. The fielding display was capped by a quickfire direct-hit run out from Element. Stratford won by 89 runs.
