In their first Twenty20 game of the season, Stratford Under 11s were defeated by 60 runs by Warwick School on Saturday May 17th.

Warwick School made an impressive 130 off 20 overs, with their openers putting on 87 for the first wicket, before Calan McIntosh’s one-handed pick-up and throw produced a much needed run out.  Despite some good hitting from the Warwick batsmen, the Stratford bowlers stuck to their task and there was impressive spells of bowling from Joel and Oliver Cox, Adam Barratt, Josh Whitby and Fraser Carr.

In Stratford’s reply three batsmen reached double figures, with captain Tom Hatch top scoring with a carefully crafted 25. He received good support from Josh Whitby and Oliver Cox.
